Our excursions to the Islands of the Lagoon

This special excursion will allow you to have more time to spend on each island:

Murano, Burano e Torcello,

Our daily, multilingual excursion has a total duration of about 4 hours and 30 minutes, giving the opportunity of visiting the most famous among the Islands of the Lagoon: Murano, Burano and Torcello.
From November to March we have just one daily departure in the afternoon(2:00 pm),while from March to November we operate with two daily departures:
One in the morning (9:30 am) and one in the afternoon (2:30 pm)
From April to The end of October we run a third morning departure (11:00 am) including the visit of Murano and Burano only this special excursion will allow you to have more time to spend on each island.
Comfortably seated in our panoramic boats, you will enjoy a relaxed boat ride along the Lagoon listening to all information carried out with a microphone by our qualified multilingual Tour-guides.
Heading towards Murano, the tour starts with a panoramic navigation along the Basin of St. Mark’s, passing by the Public Gardens, the tip of Sant’Elena and the famous Lido beach resort.
First stop will be Murano, known throughout the world for its Glassmaking Art.

In the 40 minutes stop on the Island you will enjoy a private Glass blowing demonstration of how glass products are being made, and you will have free time to purchase them.
The excursion then continues along the typical Lagoon Landscape to Burano, the most picturesque of Venetian island, famous for its hand crafted lace and for the fishermen’s houses painted in bright colours.

During the 35 minutes stop you will have the time to explore the Island on your own and purchase the local products.
The last stop of your trip will be the island of Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the Lagoon before the rise of the Republic of Venice. In the 35/40 minutes stop you will have the time to admire the Venetian-Byzantine Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta with its magnificent mosaic “The Last Judgement” and the Church of Santa Fosca dating back to the XII century, which are the only remaining testimony of the Island’s former glory.

At the end of the visit you will return to St. Mark’s Square.

Il ritrovo si svolge 20 minuti prima della partenza, al nostro Desk giallo situato in Riva degli Schiavoni ai piedi del Ponte della Paglia all’angolo delle “Prigioni” e di Calle dei Albanesi. La nostra accompagnatrice vi guiderà dal Desk al punto di partenza in Riva degli Schiavoni, di fronte alla caserma Cornoldi.
